2017 Presidential Inauguration

Today marked the transition of power in our country from one President to a new. While there is much trepidation about what the next 4 years will bring, I am far more concerned with the midterm elections in the next two.

The #POTUS has an immense amount of power as well as responsibility. Part of that includes standing up for the will of the people as we are a democracy. In 2018 we will be holding what is referred to as the #midterm #elections. Among the local and of course many state elections, we will also be holding elections for #UScongress which inlcludes both the House and Senate.

The 2018 midterm elections will be one of our most important elections if we want to ensure the future of the United States. They are imperative if we want people in office who truly represent everyone, and not the billionaire class and corporations. In 2018 we will decide if we want to stand up for our neighbors, our children, and our future; or if we want greed and partisan politics to continue.

That’s why I am running for the U.S. House. I want to fight for you. I’m not a millionaire and I’m not a politician. I’m an average American that works a regular job. I deal with the same struggles that much of the country contends with every single day. I know how important lower taxes are for the rest of us. I know how important a great public education system is because my daughter attends public schools. I know how important having medical insurance is. I know exactly what it’s like to be an average citizen because I truly am one.

While I may disagree with President Trump on many topics, I can assure you that I will respect the office and work with the President to move our country forward. I will stand up and fight when our rights are threatened. I will do everything in my power to ensure that healthcare is available to those who need it. I will do everything I can to make sure our education system the best in the world. And I will stand shoulder to shoulder with our military and let them know that I care about them by ensuring that the VA is funded and our soldiers are safe when in combat.

I’m on your side, but I am going to need every bit of help I can get over the next 2 years. I need people like you to help share my message across social media. I need people like you to make a small donation to help spread the word. I need people like to you get out and vote and tell Congress and the President what is important to you. I cannot do this alone. Click the share botton on the bottom of this post. Sign up on the right to get the latest news about the campaign or click Donate in the menu across the top to volunteer or donate as little as $3.
